Hostile, angry, upset and out of sorts.
Where no one has to wonder which side of the bed you or I got out of this or any morning. Christmas is a time of being warm inside parked well out of the cold. Supposed to be a time surrounded by family and loved ones. Neighbors and friends that are a big part of your life. Even if only in your heart and mind when home travels with you along with the rich memories of the Christmas past.
Doing what you can to fill the air with good cheer.
And making sure to raise children, grandchildren up wrapped up snugly in traditions. In a warm, fuzzy blanket of goodwill and peace on Earth atmosphere. Christmas carols, figgy pudding, candle canes and the visions of dancing sugar plums.
Pretty foil paper, shiny ribbons and big bright colored silky bows. And oh yeah, two turtle doves. And who let that partridge in the house? Please help us get him out of that indoor heavily lit Christmas tree. That he somehow thinks is one of pear.
Heck even countries at war with huge casualties, high body counts of the fatalities cease fire.
Making it all calm on the western front. Where the silence is deafening. To observe, protect peace during a truce like World War 1 in 1914.
Started by the Germans singing Christmas carols that were overheard. Led to a soccer game. Both sides away from, missing, sharing the same misery of absent family traditions. Not really all that certain they would ever get another helping of again.
Peace on Earth.
Goodwill toward your fellow man. Putting down the rifles. Crossing, blind to blurred enemy lines. Reminding all the sides to a war, conflict what elusive peace feels like. That peaceful, easy feeling that might get an extension. Eventually to the point of can we agree on one thing. “Have we had enough, and what are we fighting for again?”
Peace not anger. Can only happen around others when you stop thinking your anger and frustration starts because others are out to make problems for you. The fact you get angry is the problem, not the other person. If you stop being angry, the problems that got you to that place disappear. Treating others the way we want them to treat us is the road to successful happiness. So even if you are mean to me, it’s okay. I will be nice to you is the tit for tat.

In nature, getting angry is the first step on the way to winning.
Survival of the fittest kicks in with the fight or flight injected into the bloodstream. In society, getting angry is the starting step leading to losing.
Being blind. Making someone miserable, setting out to drive them crazy means both people in the relationship lose. Instead of win win it is classic lose lose. Your rise and fall is hinged on what you show the other, good or bad. You are the key master. Opening, shutting, locking the heavy iron door to become the prisoner in your own skull.
Humor is inside us all, to be funny, to recognize it too. Humor, the sound of laughter is the key to happiness too. Laugh at yourself. It is the hardest trait of all to let loose and do. To shine brightly, to allow to soak and shower the spotlight of humor, comedy over yourself. If you take things, yourself way way too seriously it is straitjacket uncomfortable.
Find ways to see the humor of your own making, in your own backyard with you in the starring role in the real life skit or sketch. Not just at the expense of only others you ridicule and sneer at with a snarky expression. And draw intense enjoyment from the nasty habit of poking fun, jabbing too hard verbally that hits like an angry fist. Leaves a black and blue mark that can scar and alter a person’s life.
