For starters, how far away from your home is the 2nd home, or vacation place? Can you see making the trek each Friday in the summer or are you tied to little league, local kid related obligations? Fun to own a Maine vacation place, but using it is nice too unless you want to rent it out for now for profit, to make it play. Also, plan on year round retirement here? Who plows the road, will it need a foundation and cost related, etc.?
